Hey guys! Now if you’re an avid reader of the blog you’ve probable noticed we skipped yesterdays post.. and we haven’t posted on Instagram in four whole days! I know we’re such slackers 😉
That’s why I wanted to write this post and just check in and let you all know what’s going on.
What’s Been Going On?
As you know, Cole and me moved to Wales with no money, no home and no job; since then things have been pretty tough.
We eventually started to get our life back on track, found full time jobs in the same cafe, got a house and things were looking pretty good!
Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. We grew to resent the jobs we were doing for a number of reason and felt our only choice was to resign and find new jobs. Which turned out to be quite easy. Cole got a full time job in a cute cafe and I took up a part time retail job. However we still weren’t happy.
Lately our lives have consisted of constant worry. We’ve racked up a huge amount of debt since moving here and when you’re trying to pay bills as well as credit cards it can start to impact your life quite drastically. On top of that changing jobs has been very stressful due to the few weeks we were unemployed and not earning any money as well as our old boss stealing wages off us.
On top of this keeping up with Our Vibes has been extremely difficult. I know it probably doesn’t seem like it but we put a lot of time and effort into Our Vibes. If we ever have a moment to spare we’re editing pictures, going on photo shoots, writing blog posts and always trying to find new content to post daily on Instagram. Essentially we’re not getting any real time together or any time for ourselves. When you’re as stressed as we are finding chill out time is vital and at the moment we aren’t getting any.
What’s happening to Our Vibes?
We love working on Our Vibes but at the moment it’s become too much to handle. We’ve got so many new projects we’re working on, it’s difficult not to feel overwhelmed. When work starts to impact your happiness or stress levels it’s best to take a step back and regain control of your personal life. If you continue to work constantly the content you produce will become sloppy, you’ll resent the work you have to do and of course you’ll eventually burn out.
Saying that, it doesn’t mean that this is the end of Our Vibes or even that we’re going silent for a bit. Our Vibes is what we want to do with the rest of our lives and to leave it in the dust while we fix ourselves, we think would be a huge mistake. So.. We will be posting blogs but just not as many as we have been doing.
We’ll be posting 2 – 3 blog posts per month and posting on Instagram 2 – 3 times a week. (roughly..)
I hope you guys will stick with us while we get ourselves through this rough patch and continue to support us until our full return. Thank you all, I hope you guys are happy and staying positive through whatever life is throwing at you at the moment.
April and Cole
